Wake Forest Outpatient Dialysis

Services

Incenter hemodialysis is offered at all of our facilities. Our facilities are open Monday through Saturday. On a daily basis we run two shifts of patients in the morning and afternoon. Most treatments generally last 3 to 4 hours depending on the physician’s orders. Television sets are provided for patients to watch during their treatment on hemodialysis; however the consumption of food or beverage is not allowed in the treatment area. Reuse of hemodialyzers is offered in all of our facilities. Reuse is the process of sterilizing the patients' dialyzer and reusing it during the next scheduled treatment.

We have an active Hometraining program where we train patients to perform dialysis in the comfort of your own home on your own schedule. We offer training for continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), continuous cycling peritoneal dialysis (CCPD). We offer home hemodialysis therapies to include conventional, nocturnal, and NxStage. Patients are trained in our facilities for a period of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the modality they choose. Hometraining is currently offered at Piedmont Dialysis Center, High Point Kidney Center, Lexington Dialysis Center, Statesville Dialysis Center, Lake Norman Dialysis Center, and Yadkin Dialysis Center.
